We meet on Wednesdays, 1930-2130, Centenary Hall, Bateman Rd/Clifford Rd, Hellaby, Rotherham......

Amateur radio is still one of the world's most popular hobbies with more than 2.5 million licensees, of which more than 50,000 are in the UK. One of the best ways of finding out more about this fascinating hobby is to visit your local amateur radio group, and in the Rotherham area, that's us.
Our club has met weekly for three decades, and we have members travelling from many different parts of South Yorkshire to attend our meetings, so they must think it's worth it! You just might think the same.
Membership is open to anyone interested in radio communications and associated computer technology and electronics. Whether you're an experienced amateur, a complete beginner or someone who'd like to discover what it's all about, then why not have a look through our site and then pay us a visit for an informal chat and see what we get up to?
We offer a free, no obligation opportunity to newcomers to try out our hobby, including going on air. If you want to take things further we have training and exam facilities for the first two stages of licensing. There's no charge for your first four visits and no obligations to continue membership if you think it's not for you. So, you've nothing to lose by giving it a go!
